    Conjunctivitis is often referred to as Apollo or pink eye. The inflammation of the blood vessels lining the conjunctiva causes it.

    This makes the outer membrane of the eye swell. The eye balls become red or pink as a result of the infection.

    Causes can be bacterial or viral.
    When it is bacterial it is easily treated by antibiotics, ointments or eye drops prescribed by your doctor.

    • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids
